TEATRO OBSERVES THE MEXICAN CENTENNIAL and BICENTENNIAL!
Teatro de las Américas is observing the
Centennial/Bicentennial of Mexican Independence and
Revolution with the play "En boca de todos, Bocanegra / On
Everyone’s Lips, Bocanegra," by Mexican playwright Miguel
Ángel Tenorio and directed by Oscar Franco.
"En Boca de Todos, Bocanegra/ On Everybody’s Lips,
Bocanegra" by Mexican playwright Miguel Ángel Tenorio is the
story behind the myth. With the phrase "Mexicanos al grito
de Guerra / Mexicanos to the call of war," Francisco
González Bocanegra writes the Mexican National Anthem, never
imagining that with the passage of time it will be on
everybody’s lips. In an entertaining manner, the play shows
the insecurity, fear and uncertainty that anyone can have
when trying to make a big and important change in his own
life. The play has two characters, Francisco and Fermín who
find themselves with a writing challenge, whether the
national anthem contest or a speech contest about the
national anthem’s author. The play weaves in a love theme,
when both, in addition to overcoming the fear of writing,
want to win the favor of a girl.

El Teatro de las Américas observa el
centenario.Bicentenario de México con al obra "En boca de
todos, Bocanegra," del dramaturgo mexicano, Miguel Ángel
Tenorio, dirigida por Oscar Franco. "En Boca de Todos,
Bocanegra" del dramaturgo mexicano Miguel Ángel Tenorio, es
la historia detrás del mito. Con la frase… "Mexicanos al
grito de guerra"; Francisco González Bocanegra escribe el
himno nacional, sin imaginarse que al paso del tiempo
seguirá en boca de todos. La historia nos presenta de forma
divertida la inseguridad, miedo e incertidumbre que puede
nacer en cada ser humano, desde un héroe nacional, hasta un
adolescente actual, al enfrentarse a un cambio grande y
positivo en su vida. En este caso dos personajes, Francisco
y Fermín, se encuentran con el reto de escribir: Francisco
el himno nacional y Fermín un discurso de oratoria
celebrando a Bocanegra. La trama se entreteje con el amor,
cuando estos personajes además de vencer el miedo de
escribir, desean conquistar a una muchacha.
