Our Mission and History
Mission
Teatro
de las Américas (TDLA) is a theater company that seeks
to build bridges among diverse communities through live
stage productions, accessible to English and Spanish
speakers, that provide opportunities for growth,
self-discovery, thoughtful and emotional reflection, for
all participants, players and audience alike.
Vision
Teatro
de las Américas values respect among peoples and
envisions that every segment of our community will come
together in artistic and creative efforts to promote
these values.
We
envision our own TDLA Community Regional Theater where:
-
We
embrace professional and amateur players
-
We
showcase our masterpieces and unique talent
-
We
carry out workshops, classes, seminars and
rehearsals and presentations
-
We
teach theater at beginner, intermediate, and
advanced levels.
We
envision TDLA contributing to and influencing the
development of a Cultural Institute in the City of
Oxnard that brings together the creative arts of all
of the communities.
Nuestra
Proponemos tener nuestro propio Teatro
Regional de la Comunidad TDLA donde:
-
Recibamos con los brazos abiertos a
actores profesionales y aficionados
-
Demos a conocer nuestras obras
maestras y talentos únicos
-
Proporcionemos talleres, cursos,
seminarios, ensayos y presentaciones
-
Demos clases de teatro a niveles
de principiantes,
y niveles
intermedios y avanzados.
